FIBC is the longest established Fintech Conference focused on pitch contests in Japan.

Founded in 2012, FIBC attracts global audiences from Financial Institutions, Fintech StartupsInvestorsMedia and Corporations. The FIBC Conference pools together a network of distinguished people from Fintech at every level to contribute, explore, and network. By holding the Conference in English, we hope to foster growth and build an international community of forward thinking innovators related to the Financial Industry.

Start-up booths will be exhibited on the same venue during the event.

Application Candidates:

We are looking for individuals and/or organisations that have launched or will launch innovative and pioneering financial services.

 

Benefit of Pitch:

  • To promote your services to a global audience of 350 that includes influencers in the financial industry along with potential customers, partners, investors and media in Japan.
  • Free booth space on the exhibition floor.
  • Pitch Presenters are eligible to register two people to the event up at no charge.

Screening Criteria:
The following elements/factors will be taken into account during the screening process:
– Traction | Credentials of Company and Executives
– Creativity | Innovativeness of Business Model
– Profitability | Business Growth Potential
– Scalability | Global Service Potential
– Impact | Impact on the Financial Industry

 

Application Requirements:

  • Domestic company
    The startup company was founded within the past 5 years or less.
    The service was released within the past 2 years or less. If the service has not yet been released, a demonstration should be ready by mid-December 2018.
  • Global company
    The startup company was founded within the past 7 years or less.
    The service was released within the past 5 years or less. If the service has not yet been released, a demonstration should be ready by mid-December 2018.
  • The service has never been presented at past FIBC events.
  • The presentation must be conducted in English and include a demo.
  • The event organiser may visit the startup office.
  • The speaker must participate in a presentation practice held in January or February 2019 as well as a presentation rehearsal on March 6, 2019 (the day before the event) in Tokyo.
  • The presenter consents to the publication and use of all photographs/videos taken during the event on the FIBC official website, etc.
  • The cost of accommodation, airline tickets, and other transportation expenses will not be covered by the event organiser.
  • Any cancellation after being accepted to present will disqualify you from entering the next year.
  • The applicant must not have any affiliation with organised crime groups (e.g. gang groups, etc.). Affiliation includes receiving financial sponsorship from such organisations.
